There's an App for that

There's an App for that

When the iPhone was first introduced I was hooked. As a Mechanical Engineer and self proclaimed geek I just fell in love with the whole idea of a full blown computer of such simplicity in a cell phone. Technology has jumped leaps and bounds in the last 60+ years. Computers are in just about everything we purchase. From trains, planes and automobiles to our kitchen and living rooms. Our homes are filled with these little micro computers quietly allowing us to have a more modern life.

However the whole concept of “There’s an App for that” has become a little stale in my opinion. Come on please give me a break. Just how many apps do we need? I am not saying the iPhone should not become as ubiquitous as the computer as I think it has already achieved that status. But the hype should be toned down.

As art goes it can be found just by looking around. Sometimes its a little obscure but never the less it is there lurking. All we have to do is open our eyes and behold the mystery.

So while I was sort of dazing this morning drinking my coffee I came across yet another great wallpaper site. Always on the kein lookout for great photographs to add to my collection. As always Lifehacker always has some good choices for the casual browswer. Check out this new site I found today. I think you will find some interesting photos to fill that oh my look to your monitor's background. Hit the jump here...

Enjoy!

There are some very excellent Free tools and applications out there. It just takes a little looking. Fortunately we have LifeHacker and all the diligent efforts they go to chasing down new applications.

Albert Einstein

The fairest thing we can experience is the mysterious.

It is the fundamental emotion which stands at the cradle of true art and science.

He who knows it not and can no longer wonder, no longer feels amazement, is as good as dead, a snuffed-out candle.
